2004 Special Edition Wings of Texaco # 12 in the series. This years Special Edition Texaco plane ( BLACK CHROME FINISH ) is a Staggerwing. The original Staggerwing was purchased by Texaco in 1941, this beautiful Beechcraft D175 "Staggerwing" was a 5-seat, equal span, single bay biplane. It was driven by a powerful 450 H.P.9-cylinder radial, air-cooled Pratt & Whitney Wasp Jr. engine. The planes nickname " Staggerwing" comes from its trademark, sleek back-staggered wings.
